We provide a selection of drinks and meals to cater for those wanting a quick coffee or a lingering lunch.

All of our cakes are hand-made on the premises using local Cumbrian produce, including free-range eggs. We have a ‘Specials’ board that changes every day and offer home-made soup, freshly made each morning. Our menu caters for vegetarian guests.

In addition to specialist coffees and teas we sell a choice of non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks as well as beers, wines and spirits.

Our upstairs room is available for hire for small private parties and functions – please enquire for details.

Emma’s Yard 46 was built in the early 16th century as a residential dwelling though what happened to it or the next 300 years is a mystery – suggestions from historians welcome! Around 1900 it became a plumber’s yard until the 1960s. Between 1969 and 1999 it housed clothing retailers and an antiques shop until it was extended and refurbished in September 1999 becoming Emma’s Yard 46.
